I am obsessed with dancing shows. So You Think You Can Dance? Love it! Pussy Cat Dolls tryouts? Love it! Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader tryouts? Love it! (I don't love Dancing with the Stars though; not real dancing in my mind).
I know the new episode of Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader (DCC) tryouts is on Saturday nights at 9:30p. I still live in the 90s and don't have a DVR. Aryn and I went to see a movie tonight which was over at 9:10. Aryn and I like to analyze movies we see and talk it to death but I had to say goodnight to get home to my show. As I left the parking lot I realized I had just enough time to swing through the McDonald's drive-thru and get a hot fudge sundae (they are only like 3 WW points people) and make it home. What I have failed to mention is I was home for a bit today and caught one episode of DCC. So I park my car down the street (see earlier post: garage door broken) and speed walked to my house and flipped the t.v. on. It was the SAME episode as earlier today! I was so ticked. So so ticked! I could have stayed out longer analyzing a decent movie to death with Aryn and saved myself the embarrassment of having to tell Aryn that I needed to be home to watch DCC. And possibly gotten a better dessert as well. Hmmph.
I totally wanted to be a DCC when I was a little girl and a solid gold dancer. I still kinda want to be a DCC. I found out I could still try-out. I'm not too old yet according to their web page. Yes, I have checked it out.

um, hate to admit it but I also love DCC and watch it when I'm out of town and have a minute...HATE it when they show re-runs.
I think my love for the show comes from my experience AS a cheerleader...5th grade...Shamrocks...I was the captain. I'm so serious.
(p.s. don't feel too embarrassed. I bet Aryn was rushing home to watch it too! wah ha ha ha)
ok, you did NOT tell me that you wanted to try out... I can never get enough of SYTYCD. And I'm sure I would enjoy DCC as well if only I knew when and on which channel it plays. And actually, never mind. I'm too busy watching House and Will and Grace re-runs. Or those crazy Girls Next Door. Or those silly, debt-free Duggars. Or Suze Orman. Or... wait. I just realized I still don't know who Debra Winger is. I must go consult the all-powerful internet.
And now that I know (thank you Rachel and Laurel), I will have to check it out. Even though I'm not much of a tv watcher.
I thought I was the only one who secretly watched DCC! I've watched every season, and can't WAIT to see you on it next season, Erin!
I think you should totally try out! :) I have never watched that before, the only show I watch all week is dancing with the stars. Haha your least favorite. sorry... Wow I cannot keep up with posting on all of your posts I'm sorry. I'll try to do better.

I love that we share an obsession with dancing shows, but seriously- 'dancing with the stars' is THE BEST! That is true dancing, my friend. The real deal.
my brother had posters of them all over his wall when we were young. He LOVED the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders too. :0)
