Remember my vague post about some health issues? I had a follow-up appointment with my naturopathic doctor this evening. Have any of you been to a naturopathic doctor? I'm a fan. I like calling her a witch doctor cause it just sounds more fun. But I really am a fan.
On my first appointment she did this biometrics reading on my hands and feet that determined the status of all my body systems. I should take a step back and say I suffer from fatigue, bad fatigue. I had a couple bad viral infections in college that really just knocked my system down and I've been dealing with a poor energy level since but its gotten really bad the last couple years. So based upon these readings she recommended some meds - homeopathic meds (none of this prescription, bad side effect stuff). I took them in stride not thinking much would change.
So tonight was appointment #2 - 30 days later. She did the same biometrics readings and I was shocked how my system reacted to the meds. There was a great improvement. There still is room for more improvement but I was amazed at the change thus far. Can this really be true?! Can I really get this chronic viral infection out of my body and feel like a normal working member of society this year? The thought makes me want to cry. (she did warn me that the weepiness and emotional status from this past month is directly related to the meds working out the infection. phew. it will pass.) Was that a bad side effect? oops. Who cares, worth it.

One time, we found this lady's dog and then it got away again, and we drove her around town for 4 hours to find the stupid thing, and ANYWAY she ended up being a naturopathic doctor and she gave me Emergen-C... have you ever tried that? That stuff hydrates you, and keeps your immune system kicking butt, but seriously it so so good, and it curbs my appetite a little, which is never a bad thing:) you should try it!
AMEN, sistah! I'm so glad for you. I LOOOOVE my witch doctor.
Are you all a bunch of freaks? My immune system is working at 125% capacity and will constantly be doing that. I haven't been sick in years! or weeks! .... days actually and my i think i forgot a period between the 12 and the 5% =(
Also as for laurels comment from the "Daily thoughts from Erin" post, Erin also has the mental capacity of a 15 year old so she could definitely pass as one =p (OOOh erin! you want some ice for that burn?)
