weekend update

One more trip to the airport - tomorrow - to head back to Vegas from Denver. Yep, back in Denver at EW's. We had such a great time this weekend with his family in Western New York.

(Werth Family)

We stayed at his brother Dale's home in Canandaigua which is part of the finger lakes region and about 20 minutes south of Palmyra (for all my LDS readers). We spent some time in town eating some pizza and wings and checking out Lake Canandaigua as well as heading to Palmyra for a quick visit.

His brother and family just moved into a new home a week ago and are still adjusting to life in the country. Meaning... their well water was a bit saturated with Hydrogen Sulfide.
Hydrogen Sulfide has that distinct smell of rotten eggs. And not only that distinct smell but it makes the water really, really soft (at least I think it is the Hydrogen Sulfide) so you feel like you can't rinse off the soap in the shower. Crazy. It isn't harmful only smelly (we did research on-line). I was a bit worried it was going to make my colored hair change colors but thank goodness it didn't; that could have been awkward.

His brother has a really great dog; an English bulldog named Ruth. Loved that dog. It was the laziest thing; perfect dog for me :)

(Me and Ruth)

I played Dancing with the Stars with his nieces and nephew... it is much like Dance Dance Revolution; ton of fun. We ate some great food; his Mom and sister-in-law are great cooks; met some of their friends during a super bowl party and honed my skills at eucher (fast moving card game. I heart cards).

(Sarah and Meghan Werth)

I met the whole family and I've lived to tell about it. Hopefully he will have the same experience with my family. :)

Im sure he will survive his experience with our fam... so long as we hog-tie grandma bobbie and lock her in the PT Cruiser =p. I volunteer my dad to do the dirty work (grandma scares me. I think she is losing it... she called me some wierd name the other day.) Anyways sounds like you had fun.
