I really feel like I live here sometimes; I know where to stand in the shuttle to get off and to my gate first; I know what escalators to take to get me to my gate quickest; I know when the D gates look incredibly long it still won't be more than 30 minutes to go through security and I'm pretty good about reassuring the non-locals that this is normal and it isn't as bad as it looks.
So knowing this much one would think to plan ahead about breakfast! There is something about going to an airport and wanting to either pick up a croissant at Starbuck's, a sausage croissant at Burger King or yes, on occassion, a Cinnabon. And all of these are accompanied with a Diet Coke.
Horrible, huh? Yet I gravitate to these three establishments anytime I have a morning flight.
Well not today! After staring at the Cinnabons I turned around and went to the Juice Bar (much like Jamba Juice) and got a fruit smoothie. (I do realize these are full or sugar but at least they are full of Vit C as well). I think it might have been the fear that my few extra pounds over the holidays are still a few extra pounds or perhaps that Aryn and I had chips & queso at Cafe Rio two nights ago and it is still sitting with me or the fact that I'm going with EW to Buffalo tomorrow to meet his family! (yes, freaking out just a tad).
