I was tagged

I was tagged probably 10 days ago and just haven't sat down to do it. I have a few moments tonight (World Series game on in background) so I'm finally doing it. Thanks Emily! :)

6 Random things about me...

1. I wasn't too close to my Grandma Donn (which I now regret) but often feel that we are connected. We have several similar qualities... both love to play cards, both love watching baseball (even on TV!), both love crossword puzzles, both love Diet Coke, both happy to have alone time. She told me something one time that I have never forgotten... "life does not stop when people are ill or when they die. It just keeps going and you must keep going with it". It had a huge impact on me when she said it and I've never forgotten.

2. I get very shy sometimes when I'm around people. It can be people I've known for a long time or people I'm just meeting. But sometimes I feel like I have absolutely nothing to say. Its odd.

3. I could ride my bike for hours. I love to ride a bike. Now if the trail or path has lots of steep climbs then I can't ride for hours but on a nice fairly smooth path I could ride half a day easily. And enjoy every minute of it.

4. I sometimes have very scary dreams at night and wake up petrified and can't move. I have to logically talk myself through the fact that it was just a dream and a bear is not chasing me or that sharks are not after me while I'm swimming. It takes a good 10 minutes to talk myself back to sanity.

5. I could talk religion and nutrition to death! Those two topics capture my attention and I'm intrigued about any new insight someone has to offer.

6. I finished painting my bedroom. It is a nice brown. I usually get a good brush and carefully paint where the wall meets the ceiling. I decided to tape it off this round. Sadly, I should have gone carefully with a good brush. Here is a shot of the finished product. I need to fix those curtains. :)
