Estes Park, CO

We drove up to Estes Park this afternoon - home to Rocky Mountain National Park and saw a herd of elk crossing a lake and a herd of big horn sheep along the side of the road. There is something so amazing to me about seeing wildlife. We were about 20 feet from these elk at one point. They must be used to having people around them. They didn't care one bit that there were about 15 people standing there staring at them.

Here is a video of the elk crossing the lake. It was super windy outside so my video is a bit obnoxious.

And then we went to Rockies home opener #2... ugh. dumb Rockies...

Geez, how long are you in Denver for? Ever? That would be fine, right?

PS I want to move to Denver.

It's not that they didn't care, it's that they LOVED it. I mean, how often do elk get such attention?
Wish I was there...in a weird sort of way.
