He kept me guessing for sure! He told me after the fact that he has a master plan. The plan included taking me to all these fantastic, romantic places for several days in a row but ne'er a proposal. They included a delicious restaurant overlooking the city, a walk around the Denver temple, fireworks on the roof, and two Rockies games. But he knew he was waiting for Tuesday July 7th to pop the question. I am obsessed with a full moon and a full moon was expected on the 7th. We hiked to the top of a hill near Golden, CO...
and watched the sunset...
and then watched the full moon rise... (picture was ridiculous; not even worth posting. Is it possible to take a good picture of a full moon??)He then asked me the reasons why I love him to which I listed some things and then he pulled out a piece of paper where he had typed out the reasons he loves me and proceeded to read them to me. Here are a few... (I promised him I would only list a few) :)
love reading your blog, you're such a good writer (first thing i do when i login everyday)
love your big crazy family. they have such good character and values
love how articulate you are with your questions which inspires me to think before speaking
love that you like girly stuff, sewing, knitting, cooking, cleaning (hope i don't get in trouble for this one)
love that you like baseball and actually watch the game
love that you like to eat healthy and take care of yourself
How sweet is that?! He then got down on one knee and proposed.
And the good, traditional man that he is, he had called and spoke with my Father earlier in the day. I really was grateful for that!
Here is a pic of the ring. Yes, I realize it is on my right hand. We are actually using my Grandmother's wedding ring but Eric wanted to get me something. He picked this out and it is just so unique; so me. It is a white gold band with an amethyst and 3 diamonds. Just gorgeous. We have since switched it to my left hand where it will stay for now.
So anyone want to plan the wedding for us? Neither of us are good planners. We will forget details for sure. ;) Sept 27th. Thanks.

Well, Dad is thrilled to the core! Eric is a fantastic man and treats Erin so well. I am really happy for the two of them. Besides, I always wanted redheaded grandkids!!
