I don't cook!

Eric and I are going on the Werth family vacation next week. They have rented a lakehouse and boat in Western NY - oh so wonderful. Eric informs me that each female takes a night for cooking. Have I mentioned before that his Mother and sister are wonderful cooks?! Gulp. Here is the email I received from his Mother about what night I should plan on cooking.

"Do you want to take Friday Night? So far Joan is doing Italian night on Sunday. I am going for the German festival on Monday. The days are not written in stone for the rest of the week but I know Jennifer is doing a French theme and Kellsie is going with the all American BBQ. I don't think M.P. has decided yet."

Um, German festival? French theme? Festival?! Theme?! Am I allowed to pick up pizzas and ready-made salad and call it the Fast family gala? Yes, I'm stressing out!

It's a "Mormon Festival"...

funeral potatoes
ham
rolls (the weird yellow ones you can buy for 99 cents at the store)
orange marshmellow salad
green beans.

you are good to go!

(i'm laughing at your predicament...loving it...and laughing.)

they like sports right? do a superbowl theme. pizza, wings, chips, everything else that's easy and bad for you... velveta cheese dip. Get a DVD of a classic superbowl game and you are set.

Can't do pizza, Italian is already spoken for!!! You could always do Bangladesh night and serve only small portions of rice along with a chilled bottle of dirty water. Tell them it is to help them remember all the starving people in the world!!

Hey, I'm just trying to be helpful!!
