What a great weekend! Deana flew in Thursday night. Friday we went on a nice long walk in the amazing Vegas weather and then went to the Wynn and sat by the pool for a few hours and read books. Ahhhhhh, heaven.
Amy and Penny were in town for a convention for their business - which is what prompted Deana to come. We met up with them after the Wynn where Deana and Amy were able to have lunch with a college friend.

We then decided to spend the evening at Freemont Street. We had a blast! If you have ever been to Vegas and not gone to Freemont, you must go. It is retro Vegas with crazy lights, cheesy signs, crazier people and fun, old casinos. Here are some shots...

Here is Deana and I just being dumb, cause we are...

Her name is Penny, the sign said Penny. Enough said.

So this is a big fat fish tank with a water slide running through it. How cool is that? Golden Nugget people. Go.

I sadly said goodbye to those girls Saturday afternoon. But the weekend fun did not stop. My high school friend Julie Payne (now Bloxham) decided to come to Vegas last minute and we met up Saturday night where we went to dinner - ate and talked for 3 hours! - and then went back to my place and talked until almost 4am!! It was so fun to see her. We hadn't seen each other since we were 21. What a night! I cannot believe I forgot to take a picture! I had my camera with me the whole stinkin time. Dangit. But here is a gem from our senior year in high school. Funny stuff. She is the one on the left.

And now I'm sitting here freaking out that the Cardinals have blown their 24-6 lead. For the love. One quarter to go. Come on Cards!!

and now I know why you didn't pick up the phone.
BOO Cards! BOO. HISS.
You dirty dog! I can't believe you posted that picture! I thought the same thing about the fogetting to take a picture. I had my camera in my purse the entire time and it wasn't until I was going through security that I realized I didn't take a picture! Bummer! Next time. What a fun night. I am so tired and so thankful I wasn't driving home. It was wonderful to see you. Please call me when you come up next month. It would be wonderful to see you!! Thanks for the fun night!
I am so disapointed! I thought for sure I would see a picture of you guys. I can't believe you and Julie both had cameras and didn't use them. I am glad you had a great time.
What a fun weekend! I love catching up with long lost friends.
