1. It is so much easier to wake up on a Saturday morning knowing you don't have to get up and get ready to go to work.
2. When you haven't exercised in awhile and decide to go on an hour long hike, the bowels start moving. FYI: the bathroom at the Railroad Pass trailhead at Lake Mead is clean.
3. Hiking by Lake Mead brought back all sorts of memories of boating almost every Saturday when I lived in AZ - summer of '98 and '99. I so wish I had a boat or at least had a friend who had a boat.
4. Aryn and I went and saw Jersey Boys last night. The cute elderly woman sitting next to me sang along the entire time. Adorable. Probably wouldn't have been so adorable if she had a bad voice. It was a great performance but I have to warn my viewers that there is "Jersey language" throughout. So if language is offensive, don't see it. (Yes, language is offensive to me as well, but I didn't know beforehand.)
5. Anyone catch Oprah yesterday. It was her Favorite Summer Things or Summer Favorite Things or Favorite 2008 things - anyway; hysterical. It was exactly like the SNL skit where the lady's head pops off; one goes into labor; one passes out. I was cracking up during the intro. Granted I would be one of those crazy bawling ladies too if I was lucky enough to get all those free things.
6. I waited too long to color my hair this time. I look like a skunk today. Yep, been dying my hair faithfully since I was 23. Dang genetics.
7. It is nice to have a weekend at home. I have a list of to-dos. Better start to-doing...

loved the oprah show friday! i'd sure as heck be one of those freaking out women in the audience, too, if i was fortunate enough to be there. i always get so envious at her christmas favorite things show.
