My niece Katie is on her way to India. She is heading over there for a year to teach Science in a small village about two hours from the city of Chennai (I think I spelled that correct). Her Mother had a get-together Sunday night in Mesa for a chance for family members to wish her well. She is flying from Phoenix to Newark (done); Newark to Brussels (in flight now); and then Brussels to Chennai. 28 total hours. Wowzers. I'm proud of her for doing this! And I hope I get to head over there to visit...

My husband is (tentatively) planning a backpacking trip there in a year and a half. Exciting!
Yeah that flight is a killer! You can see the itty tip of Sri Lanka where we went... I thought it would never end! So exciting for Katie! I cant believe it!
I'm going to miss her, but so excited for her. What a fun adventure!!
