Little Monkey

Eli is now in his crib. No more squeaks and squeals and grunts to keep me awake all night. He looks so tiny in it. I don't have any fancy bedding yet but I'm sure I'll get some soon.

Here he is praying as Eric is feeding him. He puts his little hands like that a lot. Cute.

He is over 7 weeks old now. He eats about 6 times/day. He poops about 10 (seriously). He loves to sleep. He only likes his pacifier when he is ready to sleep; otherwise he spits it out. He loves to be swaddled. He sleeps 7 hours at night consistently now. He is smiling on cue. He loves his swing. He only cries if hungry or sleepy and most of the time its barely a cry - more of a grunt. He loves to be held but is okay not being held and is perfectly content. We cut his little bit of hair he had left on top of his head because he looked like a rooster. I saved it for his baby book. His new hair coming in looks more blond than red. We are anxious to see what hair color he will have.

We sing "Old Macdonald had a farm, Eli, Eli-O" and "Eli-N-G-O" instead of "B-I-N-G-O". He looks at us all the time like we are crazy.

I hit that mark where I thought "I may never sleep again" which made for a rough week. I also got a breast infection, fever and sore throat which didn't help. Many people told me I'd hit that point around week 6. And sure enough, it was true. It was about week 6 day 3.

Good thing I have myself a good baby. Here's hoping this week is better than last.
