BEST SURPRISE EVER!!

Eli had a rough night. He is slightly congested and just had a hard time sleeping which meant I had a hard time sleeping. I was pretty well exhausted by morning and went back to bed as soon as I could. I woke up around 10:30 to Eric asking me if I was feeling okay and in good spirits. I thought it was a bit odd but he knows I need sleep and was probably just concerned. I got out of bed and started to feed Eli when the front door opens and Laurel and Deana walk in!!! To say I was surprised is an understatement.What a great, great, GREAT surprise!!! 3+ weeks of postpartum emotions all came pouring out. I started crying which made them start crying. What a treat this was!! They flew in, waited for me to nap, came over after Eric told them I was awake (bless Eric for knowing I needed a nap this morning and insisting I take one), held and cuddled Eli, took me to lunch, took me out for ice cream, came back and cuddled Eli and then headed to the airport. It couldn't have been a more perfect day. I seriously can't believe they flew in for the day. They are the bestest friends ever! I can't even begin to describe how much this meant to me to see the two of them. They know me. They know my needs and they knew I needed to see both of them and to tell me everything would be okay. And the best part? They had already planned on coming in May and they are still coming! I love you girls!!
