Week 62

Eric and I traveled to Western NY over the weekend to visit his family. We love going to visit them! Eric got to spend some quality time with his brother, Dale. They got up each morning by 6am to go deer hunting on their land and each afternoon around dusk as well. It was bitter cold and a bit snowy - still can't figure out why that is fun. I thought this was a great shot capturing them in conversation.

My Mother-in-law and two sister-in-laws threw me a baby shower while we were there too. I couldn't believe how many aunts and cousins came. It turned out so well. I felt weird at first being the center of attention but once I started opening all those cute clothes, it was just plain fun! They really went above and beyond!

Kellsie hung this clothes line with all her purchases - so cute!

Yes, we got a Buffalo Bills outfit... Eric was very happy...

The three little girls (Sarah, Ally and Meghan) made the shower cake. Impressive huh? I have no idea why I'm laughing so hard here...

Mary Pat made the favors - potted pines with the cutest poem for the baby in each one.

And Lu (mother-in-law) knitted the most adorable sweater and hat but the picture is on Eric's camera still and Eric isn't here until Weds so I'll have to post that later this week. But trust me, its adorable!

It really was fun to be surrounded by so many people who were so excited for us. We talked baby names and everyone was trying to convince Eric that the name I like best is the way to go. We'll see if he comes around ;) Name = Eli

And because its the Werth family, we of course played a round of Texas hold 'em while there. I opted to sit out this time and watched Santa Claus is Coming to Town with the kids instead. The family around the table...

It was too quick of a trip as always but so great to see everyone!!

Why ARE you laughing like a crazed loon? Cute pic. That cake is pretty pimp-daddy and I love the clothesline idea. You married into some pretty cool in-laws. What a fun weekend!
