Week 52!!!

Ah, the one year mark. We did it! Some days it felt like a year would never come and some days I couldn't believe how quickly time was passing. Its been a pretty darn good year. Highlights? Lowlights? Yes, there have been both and I'm keeping those type of lists between us. We have learned from both and cherished both and it will only make for an even better second year.

We laughed as we packed our bags Saturday around noon and walked 3 blocks down the street to The Oxford to stay the night; the place we celebrated with our family and friends a year ago. We love that hotel and hope we can continue to go there each year.

Before we left for The Oxford, we ate this! Yes, the top of our wedding cake that I so carefully froze last year. The thing weighed probably 5 lbs and we cut it right in half...

Of course our eyes were way bigger than our stomachs. This is all we could eat.... sad, really.

But it did not disappoint and we savored each bite. Yes, we really ate this before noon on Saturday. :)

Very similar to our wedding weekend, we hit the Rockies game on Saturday night (last year it was versus St Louis; this year was San Fran). But first we had to eat a little something at McCormick's. I admit... Eric had salmon and asparagus and I had fish and chips. That ain't right. But man those fish and chips were good!

Rockies won a great game in the bottom of the 10th. We wandered back to The Oxford to a bed full of rose petals. Eric is the best. Happy Anniversary!!

Um, and yes our anniversary is really on Monday the 27th but it is so much easier to celebrate over a weekend so we did.

As a side note... our wedding coordinator sent this picture on Friday wishing us a Happy Anniversary. She is the one on the right and the girl on the left did our flowers. All of us are named Erin. We ran into both of them at the hotel (both staying the night as well) and both of them with baby bumps. One is 6 months along and the other 8 months. What a crazy coincidence!

That is too funny about the three Erin's and the the baby bumps. Congrats on making it a year. Some say it is the hardest, but I am glad to hear it was good, as I felt our first year was great too.
