People ask me all the time if I miss Las Vegas. I always surprise them when I answer within a nanosecond... No. Summer in Denver so far includes warm days - high 80s/low 90s, an afternoon cloud cover that often includes a fabulous rain storm, and then a cool evening for perfect sleeping. And everything is green.
Eric and I have been riding our bikes this summer. We got up yesterday and rode down to the Denver Farmer's Market, picked up some veggies and pasta and rode back home. Tonight we'll be making a great summer pasta salad with our findings. I love the bike paths that swarm the city and how active this city is. We walk to our gym, we walk to restaurants, we walk to the dry cleaners, we walk to the dentist, we walk as much as we can unless we ride our bikes.
No, we don't have a yard which means we can't have a dog right now but we do have a nice deck and (mostly) good neighbors. I love Denver.
But news of the week... I'm going down to 3 days a week at work. The details are being worked out this next week but it looks promising. I can't even begin to describe how much I will love this. I can't quite celebrate since it isn't official but I'm gearing up!! I told Eric we won't have to worry about cleaning on Saturday mornings anymore, nor running errands on Saturday. He won't have to take his turn at grocery shopping or laundry or dishes. Judge me all you want. This is heaven.
