My turn at fertility

We went to a fertility clinic today.

Its my turn for testing to find out the status of my uterus and ovaries. I don't mind getting my blood taken or having shots but to combine that with work travel and knowing you must have certain tests done on certain days and the clinic is 30 minutes away, its, well, exhausting. I feel exhausted before I even start this month long process. And I know Eric is exhausted.

I feel for the people who let this absolutely consume their lives. I can see how easy it could be to get to that point and how emotionally wearing it would be.

We got the pricing sheet for IVF while we were there just to see what we are looking at if we go that route. Wow! Lets just say, the dream of going part-time at work becomes more of just a dream if we choose that option. Man, I hope we don't have to choose that option.

On another note, they attached voltage to Eric's testes as part of some new fertility methodology. He jumped; I screamed. It was highly entertaining. (I kid. But the post needed some humor).
