the move and stuff

Here are a couple pics of the scenery from Vegas to Denver. The Red Rocks are from Southern Utah. Beautiful.
This is into the Rockies. It is so incredibly gorgeous and these pictures just don't do it any justice.

I'm pretty sure this is the Colorado River winding through the Rockies on I-70.

There are a few tunnels through the mountains. They are so fascinating to me.

Here is the highest point across I-70; the Eisenhower tunnel. Can you see where there is no vegetation above a certain point on the mountain? It is high! This is a whole different drive in the winter. Elevation: 11,158

Eric had to start jury duty the Monday after we got to Denver. I posted this picture because he looks so cute in his juror sticker but also to show the wall behind him. That is where we decided to put a couple bookshelves. This is the before picture.

This is Eric being all manly and building the shelves. Tee hee
Here is another shot of the shelves.
And... the finished product. I absolutely love these shelves! They just fit so perfectly in the theme of the loft.

"Cute in his jury sticker"?? Really, Erin, isn't that just a little over the top???

I like the dancer figurines on the shelves!

I agree with your Dad. Though it's nice to see the schmaltzy, love-struck Erin come out :)

I love the Eisenhower Tunnel. Growing up we went through it a few times each year and it was always an exciting treat. And during college it was the passageway back home and then back to my new, independent life. I find it fascinating also :).

Love the bookshelves! Can't wait to see your whole place.

P.S. I agree Eric looks adorable with his juror badge:)

We drove that route this summer. Some of the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen. Can't wait to see pictures of your wedding festivities. It is coming soon! BTW where are you getting married?
