Hip Hip Jorge!!

I've spent my 4th of July weekend in Denver and fell in love with Colorado all over again.

Eric and I found a bike on craigslist for me and we woke up Friday morning and went biking. Here is Eric at the top of our trail. (I kicked his booty. okay, okay, he was carrying the water... but I still beat him to the top. :) )

Here we both are at the top. (I hate my hair; I'm chopping it off this coming week.)

After biking we picked his parents up from the airport and then hung out in his loft. His Aunt came down from Loveland (LOVE that city BTW... we went there today) and had a BBQ and watched fireworks from the roof. This was taken in his loft.

Saturday we got up and went to Evergreen; a great little town in the mountains. It was much, much cooler (in temperature) than Denver and even rained a little bit. Here are Ma and Pa Werth. We went on a little nature walk in the mountains.

This is Eric pretending he knows how to play a guitar. ha, ha, ha. Out of order picture but had to be shared.

Saturday afternoon we went to the Rockies/Marlins game. The Rockies pitcher was Jorge De La Rosa. He got up to bat and hit a single and the big jumbo-tron said Hip Hip Jorge! I couldn't stop laughing. I thought that was the funniest thing. The Rockies were fantastic and we enjoyed great weather on a summer afternoon in Denver.

Why do I live in Las Vegas where there aren't mountains with cooler weather and absolutely no sports teams??? I love Colorado.

Why do we live in AZ??!! Maybe in the dead of winter I will be able to answer that question...

Colorado is a great place... I think Las Vegas and Arizona are WAY too hot! I'm all for living some place cooler.

Erin, Please tell Eric "Thanks" for letting you win the race to the top. That truly is a sacrifice for a male ego. I can also tell the water bottle leaked all over him. What a great guy!!!Mom

Hey Erin! It looks like a lot of fun. I tell Kyle every summer we need to move to Colorado. Oh well, a couple more months and then I will be glad I live here again.
