Weekend Update

Eric finally met Bobbie! (and Roger, my Dad, Robert, Lisa, Tyler, Josh, Chad, Anne, Keith, Dani, Forrest, Hunter, Grace). The only reason Mark & Cindy and family weren't there is cause I didn't want to overwhelm him. Uh, would it really have mattered after seeing that long list of names?! :)

We drove down Saturday and spent the afternoon playing cards, BBQing, playing more cards, chatting, playing dominoes and letting everyone get to know him. But we both forgot our cameras. Stink. Where are the Simonton's when you need them?! :)

He fits in very well with my family. He really enjoyed getting to know everyone and everyone really liked him. I think my favorite part of the weekend was watching Tyler and Eric interact. I love Tyler to death. He is the sweetest, coolest kid (kid? teenager. young adult) and it was fun to watch them talk about anything and everything. I think this relates back to my comment about Eric liking Laurel and Deana; there are certain people in my life that I was hoping Eric would really appreciate and connect with. And it was so true with Tyler. Makes me happy.

Ah, that's a nice post. Who in the world ARE all those people? I like Tyler too. He's a good egg. And I must say this Eric of which you speak seems to be a hit with everyone! I LOVED Laurel's blog when she said that Eric liked her shoes and was surprised she wasn't already dating someone. Someone has taught this boy well. :)

But, Eric didn't like them better than me and Deana, RIGHT? RIGHT!?!?

I just would have given anything to be a fly on the wall.
oh, and hey...did the quiz help? (hee.hee.)

So, does Bobbie approve? Bobbie: do you approve?

(Bobbie comments are my favorite)

But seriously, who WOULDN'T like Eric?

Aryn... those are family members (but not all of them!)

And Laurel yes, the quiz helped even though Bobbie behaved. :)

Erin, Im not sure what to say except (get prepared for a hugeeee list =p):
1. I think your just sucking up because of what you said earlier on your blog.
2. Im not a kid, teenager, or young adult --- im a Man, training to be a pro body builder and hoping soon to be the next ah-nuld shwartznegaaar =p (jk everyone, if i ever become a body builder just shoot me... preferably through the head...)
3. That weekend was fun, but you dont seem to have written the fact that eric seemed to think one of our family members was bizare......

PS- how do you spell arnold s's name? i tried about 10 times and couldnt get it right....

It's always a plus when everyone hits it off like that. How wonderful for you!

So... Portland this Fall?!?! AWESOME! I'm so excited to see you again. Will Laurel be a presenter there, by chance??

Hugs!

I guess I need to spend more time reading your blog so I know what's going on here.

I'll check in more often. And I'll do lot's of AZ trails for you this spring.

BTW I LOVE Eat Pray Love. Can't wait to see what you think. Just read Kite Runner today. I think I liked it more than 1000 Splendid Suns?!

I'm so happy for you, Erin. I can't wait to hear your mom's take. She cracks me up.
Your right, if you would have called, Jodi or I would have been there, camera in hand. You would have had more pictures than imaginable. :)

Hey Erin,
SO glad Bobbie & Rog, etc. got to meet Eric and I'm sure they loved him! Yippee! I'm sure he did like Laurel better though (how was that Laurel!) And if he survived a weekend of cards then he's in! :)
Wish I could have been there too!

Enjoy Katie and Tyler this weekend!
Love, Heidi
