A Big Step
Well, I want to let everyone know that I made a major lifestyle change today. I've made the switch to caffeine-free Diet Coke. Yep. I was surfing the web a couple nights ago and saw an article about soda detox and how to break the addiction. Did you all know that it is the caffeine that is addicting?! I know that sounds ridiculous but honestly it didn't even cross my mind that it is the caffeine that is causing my addiction and not the aspartame. Seriously. I'm dumb. So the article suggested switching to caffeine free Diet Coke by slowly adding it to my regular Diet Coke. So I am starting the half regular half caffeine-free bit. As of today. I think I'll do this for a couple weeks and then move to 1/4 to 3/4 until I'm a full blown caffeine-free drinker. Wow huh?

Hey Erin, this is Cassie (JD's wife) I stumbled accross your blog and thought I would say "Hi"! I had no Idea you were Nevada...last time we chatted you were somewhere back East...right? Anyway, JD wanted me to let you know he is a little offended that we are not on the Friends Blog list...same old JD hates to be left out;) Anyway good luck with the No Caffeine...I know you can do it...be strong!
I just can't do it!! DC is my Mormon coffee...
I tried this with decaf diet Dr Pepper once and determined that it just didn't taste as good without the caffeine. (Probably just my perception, but seriously, it was just not as good.) My crusade didn't last more than a few days, so I wish you luck.
