Denver summers

We've enjoyed some great afternoon storms the last week.  Around 2 or 3 in the afternoon the clouds roll in and it downpours for about an hour. I love it. One afternoon was particularly bad though. I was on my way to the grocery store when it started raining those really large drops of rain. It was pouring when I finished shopping and so I waited inside the store for close to an hour before it was light enough that Eli wouldn't get soaked. When I got home the creek in front of our house looked like this....

If you look closely you can see the stone bench (pictured below pre-rain storm) is completely covered which means the creek rose at least 4 feet in that hour. Crazy storm.

Eric captured this great shot of a double rainbow over the city after one of the storms.

And here are a couple pics of Eli. The first is him getting ready to eat. He is super excited for that bottle sitting behind him. And the second is him in the adorable outfit Grandma Lu sent for Easter. It finally fits.

We see some dark brown sprouts of hair on the top of his head. He now has brown, blond and red hairs. Can't wait to see what color he ends up with. Grow faster!

What a cutie! It looks to me like he's growing too fast already. Aren't the mysteries of each child SO FUN!
