Is the week really over?? sigh...

Who says you need to go anywhere for a honeymoon?! EW and I stayed in Denver and had a fantastic week. And I think we were done spending money for awhile...

We saw these... these are bison, not buffalo. A little lesson we learned... buffalo are native to Africa and do not live in America. When we say "buffalo", we really mean bison. So perhaps that is why the Buffalo Bills have never won the Superbowl? They are not native to America... ??? Wah ha ha ha.

And some of these... There were probably 8 elk grazing and this amazing bull elk. I wish it were a better picture. Ah well.
We ate a lot of this... I loved my wedding cake. It was incredibly rich and fattening!

And I stared a long time at this... I loved my bouquet. It wasn't entirely what I had envisioned but loved it all the same!

We went to a Rockies game... and watched them clinch the wildcard via TV the following day. Go Rockies! Do it for Todd Helton!

We hit the Avalanche season opener and watched Joe Sakic's jersey be retired. Quite a ceremony; very touching. He played his whole NHL career with the Avalanche and was team captain the entire time. Wow.

They are warming up here... they don't play with this many players... I didn't want anyone to think I didn't know that :)

And we learned how to use our dream breadmaker... two loves of bread and one thing of jam. Yes, jam! It makes jam. How cool is that? Warm bread and jam. Heaven.

Then tonight we had Eric's friends (now my friends too) Rob and Leslie over for homemade pizza. I seriously love this breadmaker! We went to the Denver farmer's market this morning and picked up some amazing buffalo mozzarrella and heirloom tomatoes for the toppings.

Right before the oven...Right after the oven. SO good!

Its going to be rough going to work on Monday; even more rough because I have to be on a plane to San Jose at 9am. Ick. Back to reality... after one great week!

Sounds like you have had an amazing week! I hate going back to reality too. I totally want to see you and hear all the details from the wedding. Are you coming to SLC anytime soon or am I going to have to go to Denver? :)
