Is it a little odd or a lot odd that I like to watch 17 (well now 18) Kids and Counting? I'm fascinated with their life. And I think more than that, I've always been curious about cultures and how cultures fit together and why there are so many cultures and are some better than others? Why some people thrive in the culture they are born into and why some are biting at the bit to get out?
But this family is beyond organized which is a foreign concept to me and over-the-top polite to each other. Don't they ever have some good old fashioned fighting and yelling in their home? I guess we really didn't either growing up. ;)

I've heard of the show but never watched it. I'm sure if you like it its fab, and no, it isn't a weird obsession. Anything that inspires to think more about life and learn something new can't be bad in my opinion. I too have been sucked into this show. It truly is fascinating. I really want to see them fight. You truly don't have love in the home until there is a good fight. :)
I watch it too. I, too, am amazed at their organization and how they afford to have such a big family. I don't think it is all wonderful though. I was watching the one that was right before she had the baby, and one of the girls, I think Jinger, kept rolling her eyes and had that teenage girl look like she was on the verge of rebellion. Can't wait to see what happens with that one.
In that same episode I was so surprised at the way they were talking about the little boy "dancing" to the music toy. I felt that was a little overboard that he couldn't dance. But I guess that is common for people like that.
I watch that show too, and I love it. I too ponder on the thought of how they are always so polite, and how is the mother so patient?? I get impatient sometimes with only one child and she has 17! Wow, is all I have to say! haha
Everyone in that family is PERFECT! It is so weird.
